Looking for a classic small town that offers a taste of the arts and outdoor adventure?  Traveling up Route 201 from Skowhegan, you will find family fun at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Campground with brand new sites including the Sleepover Tree House.  Don’t miss Maine Maple Products, for a taste of their award winning syrup, and as you continue up 201 you will arrive at the Lakewood Region home to Maine’s State Theatre and pristine golfing.

Camping

Located just off Route 201, Yonder Hill Campground is now part of the Yogi Bear Jellystone family.  With a pool, clubhouse and convenient campsites it's a great place to recreate!  If you like being lakeside remember Abnaki Family Camping Center can set you up right on the beach.

North Star Orchards

Located off Route 43 on Orchard Road, North Star combines a family owned business with natural beauty.  Their gift shop is open year round and their apple orchard sits amongst the most beautiful vistas in the area with a breathtaking view of the Bigalow Mountains.  Check out their website to see proof!

The Historic Pines Trail

Located off of Father Rasle Road near the Madison/Norridgewock line, this one mile trail is an easy walk along side the Kennebec River.  Watch Video. There are several granite markers along the way with historical and inspirational information.  The trail leads down to the river where there is access for canoe/kayak and a great fly fishing spot.  Click here for more information.
