Vital Records

PLEASE NOTE:  NEW MARRIAGE LICENSES REQUIRE AN IN PERSON APPOINTMENT.  CALL 696-5622

Certified copies of Birth, Marriage, and Death records are available at our office. The cost is $15.00 for the first copy and $6.00 for each additional one of the same certificate purchased at the same time. You may come into our office or order copies by mail.

Dog Licensing & Animal Complaints

Dog Licenses expire December 31st of every year. A late fee of $25 goes into effect February 1st of every year. To license your dog you will need to bring in proof of current rabies certificate and neuturing or spayed certificate if applicable.  Fees for licensing a dog is $11.00 unaltered dog and $6.00 for an altered dog.

Need to register to vote?  Voter Registration hours at the Madison Town Office are Monday through Friday from 7;30am to 4:00pm.  Extended Voter Registration hours will be Thursday March 2, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.   Or click here to register by mail.

In Person Absentee Voting is available at the Town Office (26 Weston Avenue) Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm, until Thursday March 2, 2023.

Looking to run for locally elected office?  Papers must be taken out and the required number of signatures returned up to 6 w. eeks prior to local elections.  Local elections are held the second Tuesday in June.  Contact the Town Clerk for details.

The Annual Town Meeting is held each year on the second Monday in June at 7:00 p.m. at the Madison Area Junior High School.

The Town of Madison is a Town Meeting/Town Manager form of government.  We operate under Title 30-A of the Maine Revised Statues Annotated.
