The Town of Madison runs on a fiscal year from July to June. Taxes are committed and the bills are mailed out at the end of August, early September. We have 2 payment periods for the Town of Madison, the 1st being in September 15th or 30 days after taxes are committed, whichever is later. The 2nd tax payment is due March 15th.
A 30-day Lien Notice will go out in mid-June. The Lien will then be recorded at the Somerset Registry of Deeds in mid-July (30 days from the Lien Notice). The lien will then mature into a foreclosure in 18 months from when the lien had been recorded.
