The 2014 updates to the Madison Comprehensive Plan is the most recent to have been reviewed and approved by the State Planning Office. Updates to the plan will be completed by Dec 31, 2019. A copy of the current plan can be downloaded here. Hard copies are also available at the Town Office.
The process of updating the Comprehensive Plan included a year long series of public meetings called "Common Vision for Madison". These meetings were held the first Monday of the month from January through November 2013. In all, over 80 local residents participated in reviewing, editing and contributing to the plan updates. The Madison Comprehensive Plan serves as a road map for current and future boards and committees to assist with the decision making process. The process of updating the plan comes under the guidance of the Madison Planning Board.
