Solid Waste:

Madison contracts with Waste Management of Norridgewock for disposal of our solid waste.  The landfill is open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 7:30 - 4:00 p.m.

To obtain your permit:

If you're a Madison resident, you may obtain a landfill permit (sticker) by bringing your current vehicle registration into the Town Office. 

If you're a property owner but not a resident, a temporary permit is issued.  Again, bring your current vehicle registration into the Town Office.

Wood, Brush and Leaves

The Town has a brush site for disposal of trees, branches and leaves (no construction materials permitted).  It is located off Ash Street.  Please sort your materials into their respective piles.  The gate is usually locked.  For more information call the Town Office at 696-3971.

This year the Town will schedule both a Spring and a Fall  pick up of leaves for residents of the in-town area.  Clean up is usually in April/October.  Residents in the outskirts of town may obtain burning permits to burn their leaves.  Contact the Fire Department for a burning permit.
